The
Genie Scheme
by Kimberly K. Jones.
Review written by Bailey Lilac.
Reccomended age for readers: 11-13+
This book was very interesting, and hard to put down. It is about a girl who does a 'good deed' and gets a genie! She is told that there is no limit to her wishes, but when its almost too late, she finds out about "Genie Watts". Every wish she makes- Big or Small- takes some genie watts. But most of the girls genie watts were spent on un-doing wishes! The ending of the story has a wonderful message in helping others, and not being selfish and greedy, because others have it worse than alot of us. I would have said that the story was good for aged 9+ except for the fact that in one chapter it says the word "a**" (The actual word). It is disapointing that it has that in it, considering that alot of kids now need to hear more about trying not to be selfish and greedy.
